You must look at ancient Egyptian art from the point of view of the ancient Egyptians to understand it ...
. The somewhat static nature .... usually formal and oddly abstract, .... and often filled with the liveliness of many Egyptian images, ..... at times ... led to unfavorable comparisons with The rest of the arts
However .... the art of the Egyptians served a completely different purpose from the purpose of these later cultures.
# Okay_talko_know_the job of Egyptian art
I'm trying to shorten it
✍ These images were designed ..... whether they were statues or reliefs .... for the benefit of the divine recipient or the deceased. .....
The statues provided a place for the recipient to show and benefit from the ritual work. Most statues show an official facade .....,
Meaning that it is arranged straight ahead, because it was designed to counter the rituals that are performed before it .....
Many of the statues were also originally placed in recessed niches or other architectural settings - contexts that would make the façade normal and expected.
Presenting statues, whether divine, royal, or elite, ... a kind of channel for the soul (or ka) of that being to interact with the earthly world
The divine statues (of which there is very little left) were the subject of daily rituals of clothing ... and perfuming with incense ... and were carried in processions for special festivals so that people could see them.
✍Serving royal and elite statues as intermediaries between people and deities. Family churches containing statues of a deceased father could serve as a kind of family temple ....
There were ceremonies honoring the dead ...
Where the family used to come and eat in the church, and provide food for the hereafter, flowers are a symbol of (symbols of the renaissance) .... and incense (whose smell is considered divine).
Dear friends, from here I tell you that
In general ..... the works we see on display in museums were the product of royal or elite workshops. These pieces fit better with our modern aesthetics and our ideas of beauty ...
