Here’s the truth: most college students are not radical leftists.
Like most of the U.S. population, students are usually apolitical and apathetic. However, there is a radical left-wing climate on college campuses that demands obedience to their ideology. DEI departments, Marxist professors, and presidents like ex-Harvard Claudine Gay all contribute to an oppressive culture of left-wing politics on campuses.
The sad effect of left-wing ideological dominance on campuses?
Most students self-censor themselves out of fear of punishment. Their grades could suffer. Their social reputation could suffer. They could even face disciplinary action.
Here’s the solution:
FEE in the Classroom
The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) hosts a special program for high school students called FEE in the Classroom. It’s a day-long seminar, sometimes a weekend, where our faculty goes to schools nationwide to teach high schoolers about free markets, individual liberty, and limited government. FEE teaches students about ideas they would never hear in public schools.
Political beliefs and action are the result of culture and education. That is the precise reason the Left wants to dominate the social arts.
