A message from Coptic solidarity

We already have more than 1,800 signatures to our global appeal for Coptic women and extend heartfelt thanks to all of you have signed and shared this campaign!

Accentuating the urgent need for this campaign, Coptic Solidarity received an update on 18-yr-old Amany, from our report Hidden Crimes, Public Deception, pages 37-40.

We have now confirmed that Amany was trafficked to Saudi Arabia through a network operating in coordination with her school and nearby businesses. 

A teacher at her school was responsible for the WhatsApp group that was used to target Amany from the age of 16. The strategy was for a group of Muslim girls to befriend Amany and cause her to start questioning her faith. The next step was to introduce her to a young Muslim man, (a Jihadi Romeo) who is the nephew of radical Sheikh, Khaled Mohamed El-Azhari, who runs an Islamization network. The Jihadi Romeo owned a fashion jewelry kiosk near the school Amany attended and used it to target Christian girls. 

Amany's Mom provided testimony about going back to the police station this month to check on the missing person report she and her husband filed after Amany's disappearance.

Major Gamal Mohamed Ismail Shaker, Assistant Investigations Officer, Assiut Police Station altered the missing person report on Amany, to say it was an inheritance dispute between her parents. He then archived it with the claim that the dispute had been resolved and the report number was altered from 4418 to 4556.

Amany's family also went to the Civil Affairs office where they  discovered that all her ID’s were altered including her birth certificate. She was listed as Muslim and given a new name, Malak Ashraf Mohamed Ali.

This network and many others like it operate with complete impunity in Egypt. Not a single individual has been prosecuted for Amany's disappearance, or in any other case. 

This is why we need more individuals to sign our international appeal. We need to speak out in large numbers against these crimes and ensure the Egyptian government takes immediate action to address the alarming abductions and forced conversions of the indigenous Coptic women and minor girls in Egypt.

Please sign our petition today and share widely with your networks. The petition is available in both English and Arabic and our goal is to collect 5,000 signatures by June 1, 2025.

This global petition will be sent to US President Trump and to the heads of state in countries with large diaspora communities.

لقد جمعنا بالفعل أكثر من 1800 توقيع على ندائنا العالمي من أجل المرأة القبطية، ونتقدم بجزيل الشكر لكم جميعًا على توقيعكم ومشاركتكم في هذه الحملة!

وتأكيدًا على الحاجة المُلِحّة لهذه الحملة، تلقت منظمة التضامن القبطي تحديثًا عن أماني، البالغة من العمر 18 عامًا، من تقريرنا "جرائم خفية، خداع علني"، الصفحات 37-40.

لقد تأكدنا الآن من أن أماني قد تم تهريبها إلى المملكة العربية السعودية عبر شبكة تعمل بالتنسيق مع مدرستها والشركات المجاورة.

كان أحد مُعلميها في مدرستها مسؤولًا عن مجموعة واتساب التي استُخدمت لاستهداف أماني منذ أن كانت في السادسة عشرة من عمرها. كانت الاستراتيجية هي أن تُصادق مجموعة من الفتيات المسلمات أماني ويدفعنها إلى الشك في إيمانها. كانت الخطوة التالية تعريفها بشاب مسلم (جهادي روميو)، وهو ابن شقيق الشيخ المتشدد خالد محمد الأزهري، الذي يدير شبكة أسلمة. كان الجهادي روميو يمتلك كشكًا لبيع المجوهرات بالقرب من المدرسة التي التحقت بها أماني، واستخدمه لاستهداف الفتيات المسيحيات.

أدلت والدة أماني بشهادة حول عودتها إلى قسم الشرطة هذا الشهر للتحقق من بلاغ الاختفاء الذي قدمته هي وزوجها بعد اختفاء أماني.

قام الرائد جمال محمد إسماعيل شاكر، مساعد مباحث قسم شرطة أسيوط، بتعديل بلاغ الاختفاء الخاص بأماني، ليُشير إلى أنه نزاع على الميراث بين والديها. ثم أرشفه مع ادعاء حل النزاع، وتغيير رقم البلاغ من 4418 إلى 4556.

كما توجهت عائلة أماني إلى مكتب الأحوال المدنية، حيث اكتشفوا تغيير جميع بطاقات هويتها، بما في ذلك شهادة ميلادها. سُجلت كمسلمة، وأُطلق عليها اسم جديد، وهو ملك أشرف محمد علي.

تعمل هذه الشبكة، وغيرها الكثير، في ظل إفلات تام من العقاب في مصر. لم يُحاكم أي فرد على خلفية اختفاء أماني، أو في أي قضية أخرى.

ولهذا السبب، نحتاج إلى توقيع المزيد من الأفراد على ندائنا الدولي. علينا أن نرفع أصواتنا بأعداد كبيرة ضد هذه الجرائم، وأن نضمن اتخاذ الحكومة المصرية إجراءات فورية لمعالجة عمليات الاختطاف المقلقة والإجبار على تغيير الدين للنساء والفتيات القاصرات القبطيات الأصليات في مصر.

وقعوا على عريضتنا اليوم وشاركوها على نطاق واسع مع شبكاتكم. العريضة متاحة باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية، وهدفنا هو جمع 5000 توقيع بحلول 1 يونيو/حزيران 2025.

سيتم إرسال هذه العريضة العالمية إلى الرئيس الأمريكي ترامب ورؤساء الدول في الدول التي تضم جاليات كبيرة في الشتات.
