**ماراجو، جزيرة الجاموس**

توجد في دلتا الأمازون آلاف الجزر، أهمها جزيرة ماراجو، التي أعطت اسمها للأرخبيل. جنة بين أشجار المانغروف والغابات البكر ومزارع التكاثر الشاسعة.

تبلغ مساحة الجزيرة مساحة بلجيكا وهولندا مجتمعتين، وتبلغ مساحتها حوالي 50 ألف كيلومتر مربع.
